Wednesday 15th April – BOWDENS NURSERY, STICKLEPATH

 Bowdens is a family business run by Tim and Ruth Penrose specialising in mail order plants and is located in the village of Sticklepath on the northern edge of Dartmoor in Devon. They have dealt with hostas for over 30 years and are acknowledged as a leading hosta nursery in the United Kingdom. They have displayed continually at Chelsea Flower Show since 1996 in the Grand Floral Marquee, and have won numerous gold medal awards from all the major flower shows in the country.

Friday 1st May  -  MUSSELBROOK GARDEN, BEAWORTHY
 
A one acre naturalistic, wildlife, plantsman’s sensory garden on a sloping site. Year-round interest with rare and unusual plants, 13 ponds (koi and lilies), a stream, Japanese garden, Mediterranean garden and wildflower meadow. Ericaceous plants including camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons, acers and hydrangeas.

Wednesday 24th June – PLANT WORLD, NEWTON ABBOT

Plant World consists of four acres of landscaped hilltop gardens representing each of the five continents with a mature cottage garden, Mediterranean garden and fabulous views, called Devon's 'Little Outdoor Eden'. They feature an extensive collection of rare and exotic plants from around the world. Rare and unusual plant nursery. Attractive viewpoint café and picnic area with fantastic panoramic views over the River Teign estuary to Dartmoor.

Thursday 9th July – RHS BADMINTON FLOWER SHOW
 
RHS Badminton Flower Show is an exciting new RHS Show for 2026 set within the beautiful grounds of the Badminton Estate in south Gloucestershire. Tickets are £33.28. For further details contact John Preston on the number shown at the end of this document.

Wednesdy 12th August -  ABBOTSBURY SUB-TROPICAL GARDENS
A world-renowned garden with exotic, unusual subtropical plants and flowers is what the Gardens are known for. The Gardens are a mixture of formal and informal flowers, world famous for its Camellia groves and Magnolias. Noted in Dorset for its Rhododendron and Hydrangea collections and the charming Victorian Garden. The Plant Centre gives you an opportunity to take home a little piece of Abbotsbury, with a variety of plants that have been tried and tested over decades by the gardens.

Wednesday 9th September – BELLA GIVEN’S GARDEN, EXTON, NR EXETER
 
Bella was a garden designer in Southwest London for almost 10 years before moving to North Devon 12 years ago. She then moved to Exton in May 2022 creating a garden from scratch that includes a cutting garden growing over 50 different dahlia varieties and a similar number of tulip varieties, and a 9 bed veg garden where she grows at least two crops in each bed.
 

Wednesday 28th October  -  CHEVITHORNE BARTON, TIVERTON

Chevithorne Barton in Devon, represents the largest and most comprehensive Oak collection in the UK and possibly the world with over 440 Quercus and newly planted areas complementing walled gardens, summer borders and a woodland of rare trees and shrubs. In spring, the garden features a large collection of Magnolias, Camellias and Rhododendrons.

Wednesday 25th November  -  RHS ROSEMOOR GLOW

Join us to experience this delightful winter landscape where every path leads to a new discovery, and where the spirit of the season glows brighter than ever. Expect immersive experiences, breathtaking light art and enchanting trails. Savour a delicious simple supper prepared with fresh local produce in the garden restaurant before heading out, or enjoy ‘grab and go’ food and drinks, such as warming soups and pasties, mulled wine or hot chocolate from the Otter Café and Shepherd’s Hut.
